I have been working in the agency world since 1996 as a creative of one sort or another, and I even started to slip down the development path for a little while. I am for the most part self-taught, as I was studding fine art in college when I fell into an opportunity to do some graphic design and discovered a career opportunity that excited me. I studied as much as I could about graphic design, grid layout, information graphics, typography and anything else I felt was relevant and started my career change. I consider myself a major in art and design with a minor in development... I am one of those rare creatives that is fascinated by math and development, so interactive has been a perfect fit for me, and as a result, where I have spent more time.
